The Beacon satellite provision – phases two and three public consultation

The pre-planning application public consultation for phases two and three is now open for The Beacon satellite provision in Salisbury Road, Walmer.

If the application and proposals are successful, The Beacon Satellite School will provide a specialist learning environment for up to 240 Kent pupils with learning difficulties on the autistic spectrum; this will form a partner School to The Beacon in Folkestone.

The first phase of refurbishment was completed in February 2021 and has been occupied by Reception Class and Year 1 pupils since Easter 2021.

It is intended that remaining buildings will be delivered in two phases, and the drawings reflect this with a full set of floor plans, site plan and elevations for both Phase 2 and Phase 3. These documents can be found on the right of this page.

This consultation allows us to inform residents, parents, staff, and stakeholders about our development proposals for the site, and to seek your feedback before Planning Application submission.

The public consultation closes at midday on Friday 18th June 2022.
