A whole year in our new school!
Two pupils from The Beacon were successful in a hate crime competition organised by Kent Police taking part with secondary schools across Shepway.
We have been studying books written by Hans Christian Andersen this term as part of our topic on Scandinavia. In Bahamas we have been learning about the features of a river and we have made 3D rivers. We took part in the PSHE enrichment day learning about refugees.
Four classes were invited to go to Chessington World of Adventures.
St. Lucia have had a fantastic and busy final term with many events to enjoy.
Dominican Republic class have really enjoyed learning about different habitats around the world by reading The Wonder Garden by Jenny Broom.
Cuba class are working hard in Term 6.

As part of creative morning, KS3 pupils have been learning about Chinese New Year. Some of their activities included mask making and storytelling, Chinese calendars, Tai Chi, Chinese writing, dance, music and dragons.
The term started with a fantastic trip to see Jack and the Beanstalk at the Leas Cliff Hall. Pupils in Belize really enjoyed the experience and thought the pantomime was really funny. They especially like the costumes and jokes!
