Trinidad class have a busy start to 2017!

Trinidad class has had lots to enjoy in Terms 3 and 4 – a dance workshop, a cricket experience and weekly swimming, plus lots of learning about the Ancient Egyptians.

Term 3 started with fun at the panto, watching Jack and the Beanstalk. This was a great experience and the children followed this up with lots of writing and sequencing of the story. We grew beanstalks, some of them were really big!

We also spent a term finding out about the ancient Egyptians. We listened to the story Bill and Pete Go Down the Nile, and learned about mummies, pyramids and Egyptian food. In the last week of term, we made an Egyptian feast which we shared with Bahamas class. It was yummy, but some of the food was very sticky!

We have enjoyed swimming every week and have been practising our water skills and gaining confidence. We were lucky to have a dance workshop, which was great fun, but very tiring.

We have had several visits from Harvey the PAT dog, who is always very welcome with his constantly wagging tail.

World Book Day was enjoyed by pupils, with lots of dressing up and fun activities.
