Sensory Garden update: March 2017
A brief update on our progress towards completing the Sensory Garden Project.
Following the hugely successful fundraising event held at Homebase in January we have continue to receive donations: our current total is £3,328.00. A very BIG ‘thank you’ to all who contributed.
Enviromate has kindly offered to try and help provide the materials required to install any equipment bought: we are currently working on our ‘wish list’. Visit Enviromate’s website for details of their services.
In February we held a school council meeting in which the students discussed what they would like to see in their sensory garden. It was wonderful to hear the students not only choosing what they would like, but also thinking of others and their needs.
Next on the list is to secure further grants to enhance the funds to enable us to install as many of the items chosen that we can.
We are continuing our fundraising for this project until 31/03/17: any donations gratefully received.
We are extremely grateful to all of our supporters for the continued kindness and support to get our much needed projects completed.
