We’re holding a Race for Life at The Beacon, Folkestone on Wednesday 8th June 2022!
The ‘race’ will start at approximately 1.30pm and we’re inviting parents, carers, families and friends to join us – due to space we are limiting numbers to two adults per pupil.
Letters went out last week with slips to let us know the names of any expected visitors. If you haven’t already done so, please return these to school to save time on the day.
Please note: all visitors must sign in at reception for admittance to the event.
In accordance with annual tradition, we are asking pupils and staff (and visitors!) to come to school wearing something pink, if they wish.
There is no entry fee but we are asking everyone who can to raise sponsorship or to make a donation to Cancer Research UK, preferably through our Just Giving page, however we can take cash on the day.
Race for Life is Cancer Research UK’s biggest series of fundraising events that take place across the UK. There’s no competition or pressure involved with Race for Life events, the main aim is to have fun!
Race for Life sponsorship goes towards Cancer Research UK’s truly life-saving work.
Every two minutes, someone in the UK is diagnosed with cancer. £5 would provide the essential chemicals for their research labs, helping to beat cancer sooner.
Thank you for all your support, and we look forward to seeing you on the day!
