Letter from the Palace to St Lucia

To celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee St Lucia class made cards and sent them to the Palace. Read on to find out what happened next…

On Monday 8th July 2022 the pupils in St Lucia received a letter from Buckingham Palace in response to our celebration cards that the pupils constructed for the Queen in honour of her Platinum Jubilee.

The letter, written by Her Majesty’s lady in waiting, reads:

“The Queen wishes me to thank you very much for your splendid handmade cards, and for the kind messages you sent on the occasion of the seventieth anniversary of Her Majesty’s Accession to the Throne.

The Queen was touched to hear from Mr Ingleston how much you had enjoyed learning about Her Majesty’s reign, and greatly appreciates the care with which you created your cards in celebration of The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Her Majesty is most grateful for your thoughtfulness in sending your good wishes at this special time, and I am to thank you all once again.”

What a wonderful letter!

The children are over the moon to have received a reply.
