Kieran has been shortlisted for the John Downton art awards!

The John Downton award for young artists is an annual exhibition which encourages and celebrates the creativity of Kent’s young artists, aged from 11-18, from schools across Kent.

Kieran was entered for the prestigious Kent based school’s art competition and his work was chosen to be exhibited in Maidstone in November, alongside pupils from many schools in the county.

Kieran’s work was chosen because he creates imaginative and skilfully drawn characters.

He takes pieces of well-known characters and puts them together to create new ones, he then creates stories for his characters and puts them together in a ‘graphic novel’ style.

Everyone here at The Beacon are so proud of his efforts. Well done Kieran!
