Kent Swimming Champions!
This week three teams of swimmers from The Beacon competed in the Panathlon Kent Swimming Challenge, Aqua Splash, at Medway Park.
The pupils, from Year 6 and Year 7, competed in a range of individual and team events against other special schools from across the county.
Following a fantastic day of swimming, the final results and standings were announced in a poolside ceremony. Incredibly, our swimming teams achieved a quite staggering result of 1st place, 2nd place and 5th place! The pupils were given medals and will receive certificates in assembly. The school was also presented with trophies and framed certificates, while the winning team were given an extra prize of Panathlon branded swimming towels.
Once again, a team of pupils from The Beacon has achieved amazing results through outstanding performance and effort, making the school proud and inspiring others to follow in their footsteps.
