Homebase sponsored Sensory Garden fundraiser a great success!

The Beacon would like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to Homebase for sponsoring our fundraiser on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th January. We have raised over £2,800 so far, all thanks to the hard work and commitment of those who helped.

We would like to send special thanks to Mark McCamley and Lewis Button, the store manager and deputy manager, for ensuring we had everything we needed and for providing a BBQ, a heater and shelter! This was very much appreciated.

Not only did Homebase supply a huge amount of stock for us to sell, they also arranged a face painter and a ‘Dulux’ dog to attend the event. Our thanks to Billie, the owner of Phizzog Face and Body Painters, who attended on Sunday and painted faces in exchange for donations.

Last but not least, the Senior Leaders of The Beacon would like to thank David Pascoe for coordinating the event, and all the staff and volunteers who gave up their time to run the stalls.

The total raised so far is £2,878.20, and this will be used to purchase items to furnish our sensory garden.
