Austria class explore the weather
We explored different types of weather during the term and were exposed to many sensory experiences to enable us to do this.
To experience the wind, we went outside with our homemade kites and could hear them flap in the wind and felt the strength of the wind on the string.
We used shaving foam to represent fluffy clouds and made meringues in our sensory cooking lesson to image how they might feel or look.
We used dry cotton wool balls to explore clouds and wet cotton wool to represent clouds that were filled with rain water.
In sensory science we felt if they were heavy or light when they contained water or if they wet or dry. We used sensory symbols to make a bar chart for our class so we could see all the different types of weather we had experienced throughout the term.
