A busy start to 2017 for Belize class

The term started with a fantastic trip to see Jack and the Beanstalk at the Leas Cliff Hall. Pupils in Belize really enjoyed the experience and thought the pantomime was really funny. They especially like the costumes and jokes!

In English, the class has been working on developing descriptive writing and has produced some fantastic stories. The pupils have also been reading the book Gangsta Granny by David Walliams, and have produced some excellent work related to this.

Pupils also enjoyed DT lessons earlier this term, where they made doorstops.  They are currently practising their cookery skills in Food Technology lessons, creating a range of delicious dishes.

World Book Day was another highlight, where many of the class came dressed up as their favourite film and book characters. The class also wrote book reviews for the competition.

In Creative Morning, pupils have participated in lots of interesting activities. To begin with these were linked to Chinese New Year and sessions included puppet making, art, dance and drama. At the end of the unit, pupils took part in a magnificent Dragon Parade around the school.
