Barbados have had an exciting and busy term.
Barbados have had a wonderful year, we have welcomed Tegan into our class and have built happy friendships. We have explored forests for clues, dressed as Victorians and experienced learning in a Victorian classroom, we have appreciated how the Battle of Britain was a turning point for victory during World War Two, made our own flour at Crabble Corn Mill and much much more. I would like to express how much I have enjoyed teaching Barbados and would like to wish them every success in year seven.
Four classes were invited to go to Chessington World of Adventures.
The children have been amazed to learn that the Maya invented chocolate, a comprehensive writing system, basketball, a number system and developed a 365 day calendar.
