World Mental Health Day is observed on 10th of October every year, with the overall objective of raising awareness of mental health issues around the world and mobilizing efforts in support of mental health. The theme this year is “Mental Health in the Workplace.”
The Beacon would like to invite you all to our monthly coffee mornings, whether you have a child with a diagnosis, are waiting for a diagnosis or just want to learn more about autistic spectrum condition please come along and enjoy a coffee and chat with other parents and carers. An exciting event for all children has arrived at Three Hills Sports Park in Folkestone and will take place on weekends. A session will also take place on a Thursday. For more information, please view the attached flyer.

On Friday 23rd June The Beacon held a Summer Fayre. All pupils, parents and staff were encouraged to come along and be part of such a amazing event.
The Beacon held a whole school PSHE Enrichment Day on Tuesday 20th June. This day was chosen as it is World Refugee Day.
This has been the first Race for Life for our new school, The Beacon Folkestone, following our Federation event last year and previous separate Races by Foxwood and by Highview School.

The Beacon held its first whole school enrichment day this year and Humanities was the chosen subject area. This year we decided to focus the topic on the Battle of Britain. Students from all areas of the school participated and hosted activities both in and out of school.
