Dominican Republic

Dominican Republic class have really enjoyed learning about different habitats around the world by reading The Wonder Garden by Jenny Broom.

Every week we looked at a different habitat in the book and the animals that live within it. The children loved learning about the different animals and looking at the wonderful pictures. As well as using the book for inspiration for writing, the children also used the book to inspire art work. One of their favourite projects in art was to create the Himalayas using papier mâché to create the shape and paint to make them look realistic. They enjoyed adding details including climbers to the group art.
